Heat Pumps

At the heart of the system: the HP or geothermal heat pump AVENIR ÉNERGIE has designed heat pumps (dual fluid range, water based range) meeting all specifications. These ranges allow optimum performances to be reached in all settings. Horizontal and vertical capture in the ground or from ground water, underfloor heating or heating/cooling, fan coil units or existing heating system. Optional production of hot water during/outside heating periods, split system (with specific kit).

A heat pump is as simple in principle as a refrigerator, however it operates in the opposite way. A refrigerator extracts heat from the air and the products which it contains and expels it into the kitchen. A geothermal heat pump extracts heat from the ground outside, concentrates the heat and expels it into the home’s heating system. Its performances rely on the quality of components and the configuration of the HP. The energy performance of the HP results from a relationship between the heat produced and the energy consumed by the compressor. This relationship, the COP, is the Coefficient of Performance of the heat pump. The dual fluid range: a captor (a polyethylene coated copper pipe in which the refrigerant fluid circulates) extracts energy from the ground and transfers it to the generator which releases the energy required for heating The water based range: glycol water (with antifreeze) collects and transports energy from the captors to the generator.
