Solar PV Modules

Perhaps the most recognisable component of a Photovoltaic System is the PV Module (PV Collector/PV Panel). PV Modules vary in type and size but, in general, they are panels made up of a number of Solar Cells. The cells are connected in parallel to deliver the required voltages and currents under certain weather conditions.

The most commonly-installed PV Modules have output ratings between 175wp (Watts Peak) and 185wp. This means that, under standard test conditions (Irradiance = 1000w/m², Module Temperature = 25°C, AM = 1.5) the modules will generate between 175w and 185w.

The efficiency and lifetime output of the Module is guaranteed to assure correct calculations of pay-back periods, lifetime energy yields and financial feasibility.
